- All garbage must be the curb before 7:00 am on regular pick up days.
- All garbage and refuse shall be placed in containers and shall be capped and stored in such a manner that they are inaccessible to animals.
- Maximum can size, including heavy-duty plastic garbage bags, is 32 gallons and may not exceed 50 lbs.
- Do not mix with yard waste.
- Residential customers may place five cans or bags in addition to the recycling bin out for collection.
Holiday Sanitation Collection
There will be NO sanitation collection for refuse, recycling or Yard Waste on:
New Years’ Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day
There will be collection on Christmas Eve and New Years’ Eve IF they fall on a regular pick up day. All other holidays will have collection as normal. All pick up items must be at the curb by 7AM.
Service will resume as normal on your next regularly scheduled pickup day. There are no make-up days for the holiday.
Special Pick Ups
For large, bulk items that will not fit in a container, call Waste Management at (727) 572-8779 to request a special pick-up. A cost will be quoted according to size and quantity of items. Charges will be placed on the next month’s utility bill along with an administrative fee.

Hours of operation: Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Closed Sundays and City Holidays
The charge is $80 a ton with a $15 minimum. Free curbside clean up for household bulk items is offered twice per year to residents. Pick up days are generally scheduled in the spring and fall.
